LAGOS HEALTH DISTRICT III MEETS STAKEHOLDERS ON IMPROVED HEALTHCARE FOR RESIDENTS
As part of efforts to increase access to qualitative healthcare for Lagos residents, the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke has initiated a Community Engagement and sensitisation programme to interact with residents of Ibeju Lekki Local Government and its environs.
In her remarks during the Community Engagement and Sensitisation programme which took place recently at Ibeju Teachers Hall in Ibeju-Lekki, Dr. Adeleke said the programme was conceived to show the importance that the administration of Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu attaches to community healthcare by fostering enduring relationships with relevant stakeholders.
She said the programme, which had in attendance the Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki, royal fathers, and community leaders, among others, was designed to assist all the stakeholders to strategize on ways to enhance fair and efficient healthcare services for the citizens.
The Permanent secretary identified the need to further strengthen the existing partnership between Health District III, the Council Authority and Traditional Rulers to better cater to the health and well-being of the people of Ibeju Lekki.
“This initiative mirrors the essence of Mr. Governor’s THEMES Plus agenda, premised on the belief that accessible and high-quality healthcare services are inherent rights for every citizen”, Dr. Adeleke added.
On his part, the Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa pledged his support to improve the primary healthcare system in Ibeju Lekki and its environs through the promotion of health-related initiatives.
