Dr. Erinosho Ashimiu Eniola was born on October 18, 1961, at Abeokuta, in Ogun State.
The Director attended Salvation Army Primary School Ebute Metta, Lagos from 1967 to 1973; Ebenezer Grammar School, Abeokuta, 1973 to 1978; St. Gregory’s College Obalende Lagos, 1979 to 1980; University of Ife, 1980 to 1987 and University of Lagos, School of Post Graduate Studies, 1998 to 1999.
Dr. Erinosho did his houseman-ship at University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) from 1988 to 1989 and participated in the National Youth Service Corps Programme at Umaisha in the old Plateau State from 1989 to 1990.
The Director worked with some notable private hospitals in Lagos, namely Jordan Hospital Orile and Adefemi Hospital Ikeja before joining the Lagos Local Government Service Commission as an Assistant Medical Officer of Health in October 1985. His tour-of-service in the Local Governments took him to Ibeju Lekki LG, Lagos Mainland Local Government, Ikorodu Local Government, Ikeja Local Government, Oshodi Isolo Local Government and Ifako Ijaiye Local Government, where he served as Medical Officer of Health.
Dr. Eniola Erinosho was appointed as the pioneer Secretary of the Lagos State Primary Health Care Board on November 28, 2008. He served in that capacity until he was deployed to the Lagos State Ministry of Health on August 6, 2013.
In the ministry, Dr. Erinosho served as the Head of Research and Statistics, directorate of Health Care Planning Research and Statistics from August 6, 2013 to March 2015. He was appointed as the Director of Disease Control on the March 31, 2015.
The career objective of Dr. Erinosho is to serve as a Public Health Physician, in a challenging work environment where opportunities for governance, mobilisation, deployment and optimal utilization of available resources are abound, towards effective and efficient health care delivery to the people and actualization of the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
He is married with four children
